LEAP YEAR BABIES ARE THE BEST!

For those of you who don't know, our little baby girl E is turning 2 years old today !!! Well, technically she's 8 but today is only the second time in her life that she's seen February 29th roll around and she is so excited to be having a "real" birthday.

Let me take a minute to explain who this special little person is. E.C.H. is quite possibly the coolest little girl in the world. She's incredibly smart (straight A student), creative, funny, and she is just soooooooo nice! She loves to help me out in the kitchen and she will do just about anything to show you how much she cares about you. For the last 2 years I have gotten the most wonderful Mother's Day and Valentine's day gifts from her and they just brought me to tears!

You know how Oprah always does her "Favorite Things" Show? Well, here are a few of Erin's favorite things:

1) She loves to eat anything sweet! Her sweet tooth is larger and more voracious than mine! One of her favorites is birthday cake...well, actually mostly the icing off the cake. If she can be lucky enough to get the rose, she's in heaven (and on a sugar high) for the next two days.

2) She loves her teacher Mrs. Rowley and it shows in her schoolwork

3) She loves helping people when they are in need

4) She loves riding along on her bike when her dad and I go for walks. She's so athletic and she loves to challenge herself. She never gets off the bike, even on the huge hill next to our street (you know how big Georgia hills can be, right?)

5) She loves to sing in the choir at our church (she's a great singer too)

6) She loves playing sports, especially basketball (a girl after my own heart)

7) She loves her striped hot pink and black "rockstar" shirt that her Aunt J gave her for her birthday last year

8) She loves roller skating (her birthday party will be at Sparkles tomorrow!)!

9) She loves to eat grilled cheese sandwiches and Campbell's tomato soup for dinner (like me)!

10) She loves our dog Foxxy Brown

This ought to paint a pretty good picture of how cool this child is. I took a picture of her while walking out to the bus this morning and here it is...can you see the light that seems to be radiating from her heart? Well, the crazy thing is that the flash was not on! I have no idea where this bright glare came from, but it just helps to further illustrate that E is such a wonderful, happy child! I am so blessed to have her in my life and I love every bit of her!
